The Loja region has a unique blend of humid and arid zones, with an almost entirely high-elevation growing terrain and fertility that promotes specialty coffee production. The varying microclimates of the region has permitted the persistence of heirloom Typica and Bourbon lineage varieties, increasingly unique to Ecuador and small pockets of Peru.
This lot is a blend coming from small farms who cultivate coffee in the mountainous community of Quilanga, located just north of Peru. Each family farm is responsible for all harvesting and post-harvest processing of their coffee crop on-site. The care taken in cultivation has produced an exceptional quality coffee we're excited to offer and sure you'll enjoy!
